The photo I am posting today is of my efforts toward a multi-layered, mixed watermedia experiment entitled “Compassion”. The concept for this piece was born from a pose in meditation where I learned to reflect on developing compassion for others and myself. The blue indicates the infinite sky; the orange recalls the color of the robes of Buddhist monks. I wanted to record, however briefly and small-scale, my investigation of this tool (meditation) which has become so valuable to me.
